Notice for Authors of the Publisher
1. The controller of the author’s personal data is Currenda Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, with its registered office in Sopot at al. Niepodległości 703A, 81-853 Sopot (hereinafter referred to as: “Currenda”). The data controller may be contacted in writing at the above-mentioned registered office address or via email:

2. In all matters relating to the processing of the author’s personal data, the Data Protection Officer may be contacted by email:

3. The author’s personal data will be used for the purpose of considering the submission of a publication for the publishing process, carrying out the publishing process, including the preparation, editing, publication and dissemination of the work.
4. The author’s personal data will be processed by Currenda on the basis of:
- Article 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter: ‘GDPR’) – for the purpose of taking steps prior to entering into a contract and performing a contract relating to the publication of a work;
- Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR – for the purpose of complying with legal obligations incumbent on the controller, in particular those arising from tax and accounting legislation;
- Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR – on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest in conducting the publishing process, reviewing publication submissions, archiving documentation related to publishing activities, and pursuing or defending against potential claims.
5. Currenda processes the author’s personal data in connection with its social media profiles and accounts. The basis for data processing is Currenda’s legitimate interest in promoting its own brand, managing its image, carrying out direct marketing, and ensuring contact and effective communication.
6. The data collected will be processed and stored for the period necessary to achieve the purpose, taking into account the retention periods specified in generally applicable legal provisions.
7. The author has the right to request access to their personal data, to have it rectified, erased or to restrict its processing – in the cases provided for by law. The author also has the right to data portability, as well as the right to object to the processing of personal data based on the controller’s legitimate interest. The author may exercise these rights by sending their request to the email address:

8. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of personal data by Currenda with the supervisory authority, which is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
9. Currenda may share the author’s personal data with entities that assist Currenda in conducting its business and providing services (suppliers and subcontractors).
10. The provision of data is necessary for the publication and dissemination of the work and is required by law.
Information about cookies
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s device (e.g. computer, tablet or smartphone) when using websites. These files enable the user’s device to be recognised and the website to be displayed in a manner tailored to their preferences. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the duration of their storage on the end device, and a unique identifier. Cookies may be used, amongst other things, to:
- ensure the website functions correctly,
- enhance its security,
- remembering the user’s preferences,
- compiling statistics on website usage,
- tailoring content or advertisements to the user’s interests.
2. Types of cookies
a) By storage duration
- Session cookies are stored on the user’s device until the browser session ends or the user leaves the website.
- Persistent cookies remain on the user’s device for a specified period indicated in the cookie’s parameters or until they are deleted by the user.
b) By the entity that provides them
- First-party cookies are installed by the administrator of the website the user is visiting.
- Third-party cookies originate from entities other than the website administrator and may be installed, for example, in connection with the use of analytical, marketing or social media tools.
c) By purpose
- Essential (technical) cookies enable the website to function properly and allow the use of its basic features.
- Functional cookies allow the website to remember settings selected by the user (e.g. website language or user preferences).
- Analytical/statistical cookies are used to collect information on how the website is used, which allows for the analysis of traffic and the improvement of the website’s performance.
- Marketing cookies enable us to tailor advertising content to the user’s interests and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
3. Managing cookies
The website uses a cookie consent management mechanism provided by the Cookiebot tool. With its help, the user can:
- view a detailed list of cookies used on the website,
- check the purpose of their use,
- find out the storage duration of cookies and their provider,
- give or withhold consent to the use of specific categories of cookies,
- change or withdraw their consent at any time.
4. Browser settings
In addition to the above mechanism, you can also manage cookies via your web browser settings, in particular by blocking the storage of cookies or deleting stored cookies. Detailed information on this subject is available in the settings or documentation of the web browser you are using.
Website users’ personal data vs. cookies
Information obtained through cookies and usage data may constitute personal data within the meaning of the GDPR in certain exceptional circumstances. If the information indicated above is classified as personal data, the Controller of such data is Currenda. Currenda will process information collected via cookies and other similar technologies in order to ensure the proper functioning of the website, based on the Controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). In the case of optional cookies, the basis is the consent given by the user, as referred to in Article 399 of the Act of 12 July 2024 on Electronic Communications.
Other provisions
We make every effort to protect the website from unauthorised access by third parties. We use, amongst other things, a firewall and physical security measures. This policy is reviewed on an ongoing basis. The current version is effective from 17 March 2026.
